Meet Betty

Betty Dubuisson brings over 20 years of experience in Executive Coaching. As a real estate professional in business strategy, she has held leadership positions in Fortune 100 companies, MetLife, Citigroup, Soros Fund Management, and Goldman Sachs. She has led global as well as US domestic initiatives and has been instrumental in developing and implementing real estate strategies to support evolving business models.

As an Executive Coach, what matters most to Betty, is that she believes that everyone has potential to create change in their lives. She understands the corporate environment and the challenges women face in their aspirations to ascend into leadership ranks. Her passion is to help women find their voices, unlock their potential, and build the confidence necessary for a career transformation. She draws on her training as well as her professional, philanthropic, and personal journeys to help clients envision and achieve their goals. Her commitment to clients is to inspire passion, encourage self-awareness, and develop purposeful and meaningful strategies to propel forward. 

Betty is certified by Columbia University’s External Executive Coaching Program and is also a certified practitioner of the NBI Thinking Preferences Assessment. She received a master’s degree in Architecture from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and holds a BA in Marketing-Management from Baruch College.

Our Vision

We take inspiration from people who contributed to change women’s narrative and their aspiration for equality and power.  Alice Garoute, our namesake, was a Haitian feminist activist.  She fought for women's right to vote in a politically charged patriarchal culture and propelled them into action to change their status, and therefore, increase the intellectual and moral progress when recognition and equality were far-reaching goals.

Like our namesake, we, at Garoute Executive Coaching, prepare women to become leaders. We aim to enable them to find their voices and empower them through self-discovery, authenticity, and innovation to have a lasting impact on their professional aspirations.  

As the founder of Garoute Executive Coaching, my experience and tenure in the corporate space allow me to relate and empathize with emerging women leaders. The more we see ourselves as leaders, the more we can shape the belief in women’s leadership and its attainability.
